Gilles van Kooten is Managing Director Benelux at AURELIUS Investment Advisory. Since 2018, he has been responsible for building up the local Investment Advisory team in the Amsterdam Office.

At AURELIUS, Gilles has developed relationships with regional advisors. He has also played a leading role in the acquisition of Mid-Market platform companies (ECO3, aps) and Lower Mid-Market companies (BMC, Remi Claeys).

He obtained a BSc degree in information science from the University of Utrecht, Netherlands, and a MSc in Finance & Management from the Cranfield School of Management in the United Kingdom. Before joining AURELIUS, Gilles worked at ABN AMRO (as part of the Special Situations team), Vattenfall (European M&A team) and a Dutch private equity firm.
