AURELIUS successfully closed acquisition of Minova Group

Luxemburg/London, March 02, 2022 – AURELIUS is pleased to announce that it has successfully closed the acquisition of Minova in a global carve-out transaction from Orica Limited, Melbourne, Australia (“Orica” ISIN: AU000000ORI1) for an enterprise value of approx. EUR 114 million. This acquisition marks the third completed transaction under AURELIUS’ co-investment structure between AURELIUS European Opportunities Fund IV controlling a 70% stake and AURELIUS Equity Opportunities SE & Co. KGaA (ISIN: DE000A0JK2A8) controlling 30%.

Headquartered in London, Minova is a global company developing, manufacturing and selling ground-control products and services to mining and infrastructure customers. With 13 production sites and 18 sales offices across North America, Europe & the CIS, South Africa, India and Australia and more than 1,000 employees, Minova generated revenues of ca. EUR 300 million in 2021.

Through continued focus on Minova’s well established customer base in the segments of soft rock, hard rock and infrastructure, AURELIUS will support the company with its experienced task-force specialised in carve-out situations and establishment of successful standalone companies. Further AURELIUS wants to intensify the development of Minova’s market presence, product and service offering as well as long term competitiveness by investing into automation, ERP infrastructure optimisation, efficient supply chain models and geographical reach.
