AURELIUS Equity Opportunities: On the death of Steffen Schiefer

Munich, September 7, 2020 – It is with deep sorrow that AURELIUS Equity Opportunities SE & Co. KGaA (ISIN DE000A0JK2A8) announces the death of Steffen Schiefer, who passed away on September 4, 2020 following a serious illness. Steffen Schiefer is survived by his wife and two children.

Despite his serious illness, Mr. Schiefer worked for AURELIUS with full commitment until very recently as Chief Financial Officer and member of the management board of AURELIUS Equity Opportunities SE & Co. KGaA. He resigned from this position due to his progressing illness with effect from August 31, 2020.

After studying business administration at Frankfurt am Main’s Johann-Wolfgang-Goethe University, Steffen Schiefer worked for the DAX-listed Metallgesellschaft AG in Frankfurt. In 1996, he joined ProSiebenSat.1 Media AG in Unterföhring near Munich, where he accompanied the IPO and was responsible for the development of the Group's accounting department. His last position there was Vice President Group Accounting and Chief Financial Officer of wetter.com AG, a subsidiary of the ProSiebenSat.1 Group.

Steffen Schiefer joined AURELIUS as Director Finance in mid-2008 and has been CFO of AURELIUS Group since mid-2012. As CFO, he was responsible for internal and external accounting as well as valuation, taxes, treasury and internal auditing.
