Briar Chemicals was acquired as a carve-out from an agrochemicals production site of the Bayer Group. Before the acquisition, the site was regarded as a cost centre within the Bayer Group. Therefore, Briar Chemicals lacked the necessary infrastructure and management structures to expand its client base beyond just one large customer.

Thanks to the work of the Operational Task Force and the development of standalone structures, AURELIUS successfully acquired new customers for Briar Chemicals. It was also able to reduce the company’s dependence on the one large customer and eventually transform Briar Chemicals into an independent, profit-oriented enterprise.
