• £30m inventory and AR‑backed refinancing delivered at pace
  • Supports liquidity as part of the company’s wider turnaround plan

London, August TBD, 2026 – AURELIUS Finance Company, the Private Debt segment of AURELIUS, has completed a highly bespoke £30m revolving super-senior asset-based loan for Mettis Aerospace, a leading UK manufacturer of precision‑forged and machined components for the global aerospace sector. The facility refinances a bank RCF, whilst providing the liquidity headroom and flexibility required to support the early stages of the company’s broader turnaround plan.

Mettis Aerospace is a fully integrated manufacturing operation with over 80 years of expertise, spanning design, engineering, forging, machining, finishing, assembly and testing, based in Redditch, UK. The firm serves customers across multiple sectors and is an approved supplier to major companies including Airbus, BAE Systems, Boeing, and Rolls‑Royce.

“AURELIUS Finance Company’s commitment has been key to the transformation of Mettis. The liquidity and flexibility provided have allowed us to drive a remarkable pace of change, particularly through investments in new equipment that have expanded our capacity, improved efficiency and strengthened the service we offer. While these measures will take time to reach their full impact, the results are already significant and we are rapidly gaining momentum,” said Jeremy Cieslik, Chief Executive, Mettis Aerospace.

With a new shareholder group and strengthened senior management team in place, Mettis is executing its bold vision to reclaim its position as a leader in the forging sector and restore its track record for profitability while delivering customer recognised value. The improved liquidity position is a key enabler, underpinning the operational and commercial measures needed to deliver sustainable transformation.

“We are proud to have delivered our second complex super‑senior ABL facility alongside a term lender, and following a transfer of ownership. These structures require tailored inter‑creditor arrangements, which we are experienced in developing, negotiating and delivering. We are pleased to partner with Mettis as the business advances through its next phase,” said James Marler, Director and Head of New Business at AURELIUS Finance Company.

AURELIUS Finance Company was introduced by ACP Altenburg Advisory, who acted as debt advisor to Mettis throughout the process, and with whom the team have completed previous financing transactions. This highlights an increasing number of advisors who recognise AURELIUS Finance Company as a natural and reliable provider of complex, time‑critical, inventory‑led ABL financings. Despite the structural complexity, the facility closed within five weeks, ahead of Christmas as promised.
